Moonmen on The Moon, Man
I just started playing bass in Andy and Isabel’s band “Moonmen on the Moon, Man“. Andy’s Friend Dave manned my 3D camera and took some pictures. I posted them on Phereo.com. I got the hang of that site now. If you click on the magnifying glass on the below image you will go to a gallery with more images.
Phereo is pretty great for letting you choose different 3D viewing methods. Check this out.

My brother who works at Ultimate Image screenprinting in Toledo Iowa, helped me out with some screenprinting for the new Paper Fleet record cover. He made the screen and showed me what to do, and I pumped out the 500 odd covers. Here’s a couple pics of that process. Oh, and Josh inman drew the art on the cover. Check out the final record here
Samuel Locke Ward & the Boo Hoos, & Joe Jack Talcum
I went to see Joe Jack Talcum (of the Dead Milkmen) at Bruar Falls last night and got a special treat. Samuel Locke Ward Opened with his band the Boo Hoo’s, and then proceeded to be Joe’s backup band (The called The Powders) . I took a couple pictures. The lighting is low at bruar falls. Doesn’t make for great video, but I tried that too.
Samuel Locke Ward and the Boo Hoo’s have some releases. Notably a 7 inch record I bought and Joe just released a CD called “Live in the studio” which is mostly him playing some old hits acoustic with friends accompanying on slide guitar and bongos.
Oh, and yes there were 3 other acts but I didn’t see them because I was eating Korean food down the street.

My band Paper Fleet played a show last saturday and Bruar Falls in Brooklyn, and I took some pictures of the bands we played with. I didn’t take any pictures of myself while I was playing.
First up was Jenny and the Holzers, singing songs that compel you to google their titles.
Then we played. Like I said. I didn’t take pictures of us.
Then Hollows played. They’re from Chicago. They were rad. Go listen to them on myspace, check them out live if you can and buy their record. I did. It rocks.
Lastly was Loneliest Monk. I will be honest. When I heard they were a duo featuring cello, I wasn’t expecting to stay awake for long, but they really won everyone over with their uptempo dynamic sound. Some said they were great except the drummer’s mask. Some said the mask was the best part. I will stay neutral on the subject of the mask and let you decide for yourself.
