Here’s some 3-D footage of an Edison Amberola Cylinder player I picked up in Iowa last year. If you don’t know anything about these, they are pretty neat. They play cylinder shaped records without electricity. Cylinders were the first popular form of records, and Edison manufactured them up until about 1929 or so, at which they had already been replaced in popularity replaced by flat 78 rpm records.
My Brother is in a cover band in Iowa called 8T8
Did I mention the Fujicamera can shoot movies? 640 by 480. pretty decent although not HD. And the youtube compression makes it look worse. oh well. This video was shot in low light so the 3D effect is kinda hard to see. you can view it here by crossing your eyes, or click on the link for more viewing options (like anaglyph) on the youtube page.
Here’s my first couple pics. The red/green looking pictures are best viewed with red and green glasses. If you dont have those around you can view the double picture by crossing your eyes.
This is a picture of the band Borrowed Beams of Light, playing at a pool hall in Richmond Virginia.
